Ron Paul Takes Campaign Break to Bash Bernanke

I don’t vote because I don’t want to be an accomplice. If I did vote, I would vote for Ron Paul. Here is Mr. Paul taking on one of my least favorite organizations, the Federal Reserve:
Texas Republican Rep. Ron Paul took a break from the campaign trail today — fresh off Michigan and Arizona primaries — to turn to favorite issue in Washington: Calling for the end of the Federal Reserve.
Mr. Paul is on hand at Fed Chairman Ben Bernanke’s semiannual testimony to Congress to challenge Mr. Bernanke. He wasted no time in his opening statement. “What we are witnessing today is the end stages of a grand experiment,” he said. The Fed’s control of the nation’s money supply, he said, has bred economic bubbles and a drop in the purchasing power of the dollar. It will soon end, Mr. Paul said, because the nation is taking on too much debt which the Fed has facilitated. Continue by clicking here

More customers leaving big banks

If you hate the banks, fire them! Here is an article on CNN that talks about just that...

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) -- New fees and poor customer service have sparked an exodus among big bank customers, many of whom switched to smaller institutions last year.
The defection rate for large, regional and midsize banks averaged between 10% and 11.3% of customers last year, according to a J.D. Power and Associates' survey of more than 5,000 customers who shopped for a new bank or account over the past 12 months. In 2010, the average defection rates ranged from 7.4% to 9.8%.

Suspect Must Unlock Laptop's Files

This story interests me as I have a strong interest in Information Technology and the US Constitution/Amandments:

A Colorado woman charged with real-estate fraud has been ordered to meet with FBI agents Monday and unlock private files on her laptop computer or face possible contempt charges in federal district court in Denver.
The files are protected with the use of encryption software, which allows computer users to transform plain text into symbols indecipherable to anyone who doesn't have a password.

Doomsday in Wyoming!

I saw this story on 9News in Denver:

State representatives in Wyoming have advanced a “doomsday” bill that when passed will launch a study into what the state should do in the event of an economic collapse, martial law style scenario.

Wyoming House Bill 85 is essentially a state continuity of government plan that would study the impacts of the collapse of the dollar and the states ability to quickly set up an alternative currency.

Colorado State Senators will consider a bill that would allow people to use gold and silver as currency. A similar measure is already in place in Utah and is being considered in 12 other states, reports CBS Station KCNC.

Supporters are concerned about the strength of the U.S. dollar.

The sponsors of the bill say they are concerned about the strength of the U.S. dollar, public debt, and currency devaluation.

U.S. Bankruptcy Court Rules MERS's Business Model Is Illegal

United States Bankruptcy Judge Robert Grossman has ruled that MERS's business practices are unlawful. He explicitly acknowledged that this ruling sets a precedent that has far-reaching implications for half of the mortgages in this country. MERS is dead. The banks are in big trouble. And all foreclosures should be stopped immediately while the legislative branch comes up with a solution.
